Sometimes reality is what you make of it. Other times, it depends on what you're smoking. So what the hell is John Hinderacker smoking?
Obama thinks he is a good talker, but he is often undisciplined when he speaks. He needs to understand that as President, his words will be scrutinized and will have impact whether he intends it or not. In this regard, President Bush is an excellent model; Obama should take a lesson from his example. Bush never gets sloppy when he is speaking publicly. He chooses his words with care and precision, which is why his style sometimes seems halting. In the eight years he has been President, it is remarkable how few gaffes or verbal blunders he has committed. If Obama doesn't raise his standards, he will exceed Bush's total before he is inaugurated.(first noticed at TPM)

Now, that's funny! I think this guy has a great sense of humor. His technique of writing exactly the opposite of reality is the epitome of irony.
If I hadn't followed the link and read the rest of his article, I would have assumed from your quote that this was clearly parody and you were misreading it as genuine. Sadly your interpretation seems on the mark. It seems odd to apply the term here, but this guy sure seems like a blinded Bush fanboy if I ever saw one.
I had the same impression when I first read this one. But no, the guy is a card carrying conservative who has chugged the Kool-Aid. Either that or he thinks, now that Obama has won, that everyday is opposites day!
